One of the viewers to the show called me to tell me how much it moved her and that she simply stood in front of it for most of her lunch hour. Maimonides (The Rambam) writes that the best way to "know G-d is to contemplate nature". This piece was inspired by a photograph of a celestial event. Even I, who made the piece, find that I really enjoy gazing into the depths of this piece.

Light of Potential

Here is a piece that I exhibited at the Curtis Center for the Arts and Humanities in Denver, Colorado as part of "Selected Artists of the Colorado Jewish Artists Guild" show. It is entirely metal. My husband "stretched" sheets of metal over stretcher bars, and then I went wild. It is acrylic paint with various acrylic mediums, oil pastel and gold leaf. Do you see the Hand that is in the process of creating the "Light of Potential"?* This is the Light that was created at the beginning of time. This special Light was put into the world by G-d to help every creature reach its true potential.

It is about 44" x32" and the cost is $3500.

*(The hand is part of the white central area. It's the purple metal folded and bent over.)
