Mem

The open Mem points to the obvious, openly revealed glory of G-d's actions. The Mem points upwards, indicating G-d's Sovereignty over us as symbolized also by the crown within the Mem. The bird alludes to our Neshomas (souls) where our true life resides, asking for mercy from our King. The outpouring of blessing is alluded to in the open Mem. The flowers and vines are a reference to the Torah as the Tree of Life. The word, "Mizrach" is on the column, and means East - direction of the Jerusalem, the Holy City. The phrase surrounding the picture is from the Divrei Ha Yomim 29:14 and translates to "Everything is from You." A Giclee print of an original painting by Arel Mishory.
